Tlyck Focus — A Friendly Daily Text That Keeps Your Day in Rhythm
It arrives as an ordinary text message

A good day, every day. Nothing to download.

Tlyck Focus sends you a warm message each morning asking what would make today a good one — and remembers it, so you don't have to. No app. No password. No new gadget. It works on the phone that's in your pocket right now.

Why the usual answer doesn't work

Staying independent shouldn't require learning another gadget.

📱

You don't need another app

Tiny buttons. Updates that move everything. A password you wrote down somewhere sensible and can no longer find. If it isn't as simple as sending a text message, it isn't worth your time — and you're right about that.

🗓️

Without work, the days run together

The job used to supply the shape of the week. Once it's gone, Tuesday and Saturday start to feel the same. A little rhythm — something to do, someone expecting to hear about it — puts the edges back.

💙

And you'd rather not be fussed over

Your children mean well. But being asked whether you've had water, whether you've walked, whether you're all right — it wears thin. Tlyck Focus asks about your day without any of that history behind it.

What a day looks like

Three short messages. Answer the ones you feel like.

They arrive where your other messages arrive. You reply the way you'd reply to anyone — a few words is plenty.

STEP 1
Morning · around 8 o'clock

One nice thing for today

A warm good morning and a single question. Watering the garden, a ten-minute walk, calling an old friend — whatever you name, Tlyck Focus keeps hold of it so it doesn't slip away by eleven.

"Good morning! What's one nice thing you'd like to do for yourself today?"
STEP 2
Afternoon · whenever you want

A hand getting started

Some jobs sit there for weeks. Text and say so, and Tlyck Focus cuts it down to a first five minutes — just the top drawer, just the envelope — then checks back to see how it went. You can also just say hello.

"Let's only do five minutes of it. Then we stop, either way."
STEP 3
Evening · around 7:30

A kind word to finish

A short note about what you did — and nothing whatsoever about what you didn't. A quiet day is met exactly like a busy one. That's the whole point, and it's why people are still here months later.

"You got out for that walk. That's the whole win — sleep well."
Your first good morning can be tomorrow.
Getting started

About a minute. And then it's simply running.

STEP 1

Pay the $1

A card, a name, half a minute. Your receipt arrives by email and the button to cancel is right there in it, should you ever want it.

STEP 2

Send one text message

The next page shows you a phone number and one short line to send it. Type it, send it. That's the whole setup — no account, no password, nothing to install.

STEP 3

Say what suits you

Tlyck Focus writes right back, asks your name and what time you'd like your morning message, and starts for real the next day.

🔒

Your conversation is your own

Nobody else is sent your messages — not a report, not a summary, not a list of the days you were quiet. That holds even if one of your children is the one paying for it. If you'd like the messages to stop, reply with the single word STOP and they stop, that same minute.

A real conversation

What it sounds like when a job has been sitting.

No screens to learn, no forms to fill out. Just a short back-and-forth that turns "I really need to deal with that" into something you've actually started.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need a smartphone or home internet?

No. Tlyck Focus arrives as an ordinary text message, so any phone that can send and receive texts will do — a basic flip phone included. If you already use WhatsApp, you can have it there instead. You choose when you start.

Is there anything to download or install?

Nothing at all. No app, no account, no password. The messages show up in the same place your family's messages show up, and you reply exactly the way you reply to them.

What if I don't feel like replying one day?

Then don't. Nothing is counted, nothing is broken, and no lecture arrives. Tlyck Focus simply says good morning again the next day as though nothing happened — because as far as it's concerned, nothing did.

Am I too old for something like this?

If you can text a grandchild, you already know everything this needs. There's no menu, no settings screen, and nothing that rearranges itself overnight. It's a conversation, and it works the way conversations work.

How much typing does it expect?

Very little. The messages are short, and a few words back is always enough. "The garden" is a complete reply. So is "not today".

Who reads my messages?

Your conversation is yours. Even if one of your children pays for it, they aren't sent your messages or any report about your days.

What does it cost, and how do I stop it?

$1 for the first month, then $19 a month. To stop the messages, reply with the word STOP at any time. To end the payment, use the cancel link in the receipt emailed to you at the start — or email hello@tlyck.com and we'll do it for you.
